AIGA Memphis Wear Your Design on Your Sleeve T-Shirt Contest

Who May Compete?
You! That is, anyone who resides in the Memphis Area and successfully complies with the submission guidelines below. That means professionals, students, and designer wannabees, dust off your mice (mouses?) — you have a chance to win a prize! The contest jurors may not compete, sorry.
What Do You Win?
Marginal fame, bragging rights, and designers throughout Memphis proudly sporting a t-shirt of your very own design… plus, you get a free t-shirt. T-shirts will be on sale before Chirstmas.

Create a stellar design, get past the panel of jurors and then get the most votes from your peers.
Who Exactly Are Your Peers?
For the purposes of this contest, your peers are those who attend Thursty? On November 12, 2009 and cast a vote. So be sure to show up and cast your vote on representing Memphis.
What or Who Exactly is a Contest Juror?
The contest juror is a member of AIGA Memphis board who will receive contest submissions, preserve the anonymity of their creators, and announce the final contest winner. In other words, the juror will ensure the contest remains fair and balanced.
What are the Design Guidelines?
Be creative and, above all, have FUN. We’re giving you a lot of latitude here. Your design should include the word “AIGA” and something that identifies it as the Memphis chapter (in other words, this can be done through text or image or both). The design should be created to go on a white t-shirt.
How to Enter Online
1: Create your design, following the spec guidelines listed below.
2: When your file is ready, submit your entry and payment on our website.
3: You will receive a confirmation email that we have received your entry and payment.
NOTE: Entries that do not accompany payment will be excluded from competition.
General Specs
• Max Artwork Size: 12" x 12"
• Shirts may be front and back
• 4-color (shirts will be digitally printed)
• Artwork may be vector-based or raster-based
• Image dpi should be 300 dpi at size. (Winner will be asked to provide orginal artwork)
• Submit a multi-page pdf. First page/pages should include full size design. Final page should include design as it looks on t-shirt.
• Only PDF format files will be accepted.

Awards
All designs entered in to the competition will be juried by AIGA Memphis Board Members. A small number of finalists will be chosen by the juriors. You will be able to vote on for one the finalists as your top choice. The design with the most votes will be delared the over all winner of the competition. The design will be printed and sold to support AIGA Memphis. The top winner (1st place) will receive a free t-shirt of their design. All of the designs will be on display at the AIGA Memphis Thursty Thursday (November 12) event.

The Event
All entries will be on display and the finalists will be available for voting at Thursty? on Thursday, November 12, 2009 (location to be announced...check back for more details).
Fees
AIGA members: $10 per entry
Non-AIGA members: $15 per entry
Student Members: $5 per entry
Student Non-AIGA Members: $10 per entry
Payment and entries will be accepted on this website.
AGREEMENT
By submitting your work to the website you are agreeing to your work being displayed at an AIGA Memphis Event on Novemebr 12, 2009. If your entry is chosen as the top entry you are agreeing to release your image to be printed (without a charge to you) on t-shirts to be sold by AIGA Memphis as a fundraiser for AIGA.
